TIG Welder

Our client in the Vaughan area is currently looking to hire a TIG welder to join their team on a full-time basis.

Day shift

Responsibilities:

• Majority of work TIG welding, with some MIG welding depending on the project

• Lay-out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to weld using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers

• Examine for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications

• Weld separately or in combination using mild steel, stainless steel and other alloys

• Fabricate components from clean and prep to cutting and welding

• Verify welding results by inspecting and testing welds

 

Qualifications: • 1-2 years’ experience as a TIG Welder

• Previous experience as a MIG Welder considered an asset

• Strong working knowledge of various metal finishing tools and methods

• Must have the ability and experience working with different types and functions of metal (Aluminum, mild steel, stainless steel, etc.)

• Must have initiative to inspect own work for quality compliance

• Good oral and written communication skills (English)
