Materials / Inventory Analyst

Our client, a steel manufacturing company for automotive parts is currently looking to add to their team. They are looking to hire a Materials/Inventory Analyst.

  • be computer savvy including standard microsoft programs, willing to learn ShopEdge (our manufacturing software) and willing to learn labelling programs
  • be customer service focused – deal with vendors and customer phone calls
  • be personable and respectful
  • follow up with vendor releases to ensure timely deliveries as well as entering releases into ShopEdge for both automotive and roofing programs
  • Schedule daily trucking routes to be organized and cost effective
  • understand inventory terms, routings, consumption, barcodes *experience with or willingness to learn RF scanners a must
  • Focusing on accurate inventory as well as correcting any imbalances both internally and externally
  • working with MRP runners to ensure accurate cycle counts, helping runners correct mistakes (would be responsible for runners, generally a co-op student who works with production team)
  • Assist materials manager with customs documentation, international shipments, packing slips/pick lists/setting up trucks
  • enter receipts into shop edge
  • working knowledge of manufacturing process (BOM/Blank weights/Piece weights/routings)
  • Ability to problem solve both independently and in a team environment.
